The ALS2 courses are in conjunction with Parasol Advanced Life Support Australia, an Australian Resus Council (ARC) accredited provider.

To be eligible for the ALS2 Recertification course you must have a valid ARC certificate.

The ARC certificates have a 4-year expiry from the date they were issued.

Description:

Advanced Life Support Level 2 Recertification is a 1-day course focusing on refreshing your ALS2 Certificate. It focuses on developing foundation skills, knowledge, and confidence in managing medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest, as a team member and leader, preventing patient deterioration and managing crisis events until advanced assistance is available.


Prerequisites:

All applicants must hold (or be in training for) a professional healthcare qualification and be competent in CPR.
This course can only be attended by participants who have a current ARC ALS2 certificate. If their certificate has expired prior to the course date, they are not eligible to attend the course.


Catering:

Catering is provided throughout the course. We can cater for a range of dietary requirements. Please advise of dietary requirements when enrolling for the course.


Dress:

Neat casual clothing suitable for hands-on CPR practice and enclosed footwear.


Who should participate:

The course is designed for experienced emergency and critical care clinicians including doctors, nurses and paramedics who are responsible for managing patient deterioration and cardiac arrest, and teaching or leading resuscitation teams.
